Stimuli Analysis
Stimuli # 5 Christo and Jean Claude 1997-1998. Wrapped trees

Landmarks and nature are common topics in Christo and Jeanne Claude's art. They researched trees, packed them using ecologically acceptable materials, and created sewing patterns for each one. These artworks took up 55,000 square meters of space. Woven polyester cloth was used to wrap 178 trees. On November 22, 1988, the project was finished. The trees ranged in height from one meter to 14.5 meters. I was able to quickly comprehend their plan through their drawings when I engaged with this stimulation. The project's procedure was meticulously detailed. They provided detailed drawings that demonstrated their concepts, as well as how the materials would function and where they would be put. Furthermore, the outcome of their study is extremely intriguing. Their paintings, in my opinion, have very clear cultural references. This is a feeling of environmental stewardship. Through the use of light and shadow, artists cover trees in environmental protection materials, resulting in a full and magnificent environmental art performance. Furthermore, the outcome of their study is extremely intriguing. Dynamic forms are represented by the wrapped trees. Furthermore, the transparent cloth changes its look with the breeze or light, creating diverse ambiances.

For me, the design process was amazing since they displayed comprehensive sketches and blueprints. The project was thereafter completed just as they had intended.
